PESA Editorials are quarterly reports tracking current affairs and analysing different aspects of regional integration, macroeconomic developments, sector analysis, and policy or government developments for every country in the Southern African Development Community and some key countries in other African regions. The PESA Editorials are authored by PESA Regional Analysts and edited by Siya Biniza and Michelle Livie.
The aim of the PESA Editorials is to provide grounded analysis of the national aspects of the political economy of regional integration. This analysis is also complemented by the PESA Regional Integration Monitor which provides high-level and discursive analysis of regional integration in SADC and Africa more broadly.
PESA Editorial articles are also used by broadcast media show producers as discussion content – and sometimes as news updates.
