Madagascar’s total public and publicly guaranteed debt decreased slightly from an average of 41.1% of GDP from 2015 to 2017, to 39.7% of GDP in 2018. During this period, GDP growth also improved from an annual average of 3.9% from 2015 to 2017 , to 5.2% in 2018.
