History of Conflict and its Impact on Ghanian Development
Ghana was historically a British colony known as the Gold Coast. On gaining independence in 1957, the country was renamed Ghana, with the first republic enacted in 1960 under the leadership of prime minister, Dr Kwame Nkrumah.
