Nevanda José

Nevanda is a Graduate Analyst at PESA. He joined PESA this year and helps the organisation become the premier resource for political economy analysis, regional integration and policy dialogues in SADC.

As a Graduate Analyst, Nevanda focuses on contributing research to the PESA workstreams in Political Economy and Regional Integration. He also contributes speaking notes for Policy Dialogues. A champion of PESA’s vision, Nevanda has qualifications and experience in Political Economy. He has experience in local governance and fieldwork.

Nevanda is an Economist with experience in designing and implementing activities related with provincial, municipal and community development planning. He has also led teams in social projects such as birth registration and technical assistance in agriculture; designing methodology and budgeting for proposals for development projects; consulting rural communities ; and using different tools to collect information. Nevanda received his M.Com. in Economic Policy and Development, a Pg.Cert. in Pedagogical Aggregation, and a Pg.Cert. in Preparation of Research and Development Projects from the Agostinho Neto University. He also holds a B.Econ. from the Catholic University of Angola.
