Bernard is an Interdisciplinary Researcher specialising on Governance, Public Health Policy and Management, and Public Policy. He has experience in research and training in health policy and system strengthening, public policy analysis, public management, and research methodology in results-based monitoring and evaluation of development interventions. His interest is to contribute towards development through inter-disciplinary research and training.


Bernard holds a PhD in Public Health from the University of Pretoria. He also holds an M. P. A., Pg. Cert. in Programme and Project Monitoring and Evaluation, and a B. Sc. (Hon.) in Politics and Administration from the University of Zimbabwe. He has also received training in Research Methodology, Scientific Writing and Research Ethics from the Organisation for Social Science in Research in East and Southern Africa (OSSREA), African Population and Health Research Centre (APHRC), and the Emerging Voices for Global Health (EV4GH) Program.
