Interview about the 1Q2018 employment growth numbers published by StatsSA. According to StatsSA non-agriculture formal employment increased by 56 000 quarter-on-quarter, from 9.78 million in December 2017 to 9.84 million in March 2018. The interview discussed the source of growth in community services, construction, manufacturing and business services sectors which helped boost employment growth. The interview also reviews the pace of employment growth and what is needed to improvement employment, particularly for youth.
